EQUIP NIGHTS
In the months of August and January, our entire church is invited to gather together on the final three Wednesday evenings of these months at our building for Equip Nights! The purpose of these evenings is to gather as a gospel family for dinner and discipleship. Practically, we’ll be sharing a family meal together, followed by a time of teaching from one of our pastors, table discussion, and prayer. We plan to focus on topics during Equip Nights that will help our members grow in their discipleship and worship of Jesus, as we seek to “equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ” (Eph. 4:12).
Equip Nights will also be a great opportunity to continue the discipleship of our kids and children, as we will be able to reinforce what is being taught on Sunday mornings as well as introduce new topics our whole church will be discussing together.
During August and January, all of our other non-Sunday morning gathering spaces will take a break (City Groups, Classes, etc.) in order to give rest to our leaders and encourage participation in this church-wide gathering. This will establish natural seasons of rest for our City Group leaders and Class teachers, as well as creating more opportunities for people to connect with one another as we continue to grow numerically. Equip Nights also give our City Groups a chance to serve alongside one another, as they rotate “hosting” each evening, serving with our kids, set-up, food service, and tear-down.
