Spring Doctrine Seminar: Apologetics

  • The King's Church 730 Florida Avenue South Lakeland, FL, 33801 United States (map)

Believers are called in 1 Peter 3:15 to “always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.” Throughout history, Christians have answered this call to engage meaningfully with the objections to the faith. However, in today's world, where objections are plentiful and people are unsure what to believe, it can be challenging to have meaningful conversations about our beliefs with those around us.

On May 18th, from 9:00am - 12:00pm, we will be having a seminar where we will be discussing the topic of apologetics and addressing some of the objections that many people put forth about why they won’t believe in Jesus. We will cover the basics of apologetics, the big questions of whether Christianity is true, good, and beautiful, and how we can practically apply this knowledge better to engage those around us for the glory of Christ.

If you are interested in having meaningful conversations in an age that often lacks meaning, then join us for this semester's doctrine seminar. Childcare will be provided (please register your children who will need childcare so we have an accurate count).

Registration cost is $20 which provides registrants with a copy of the book The Air We Breathe: How We All Came to Believe in Freedom, Kindness, Progress and Equality by Glen Scrivener.
